Awesome Livestrong Day:  Kristin Fish is happy to report that our school raised a total of $848.39 for Livestrong Day.  This money benefits the Lance Armstrong Foundation, which goes towards cancer research. 

 

Congratulations Prize Winners:  Be kind, be safe, be productive winners are:  4th Kyle Bonzell, Leo Garza, Jessica Guerra, & Talan Mortensen (Graves).  5th Ethan Auch, Austin Harris, Sam Kang, Rachel Spain, & Ashley Walters (Hegenbart). 6th None.  7th Danyel Pedro.  8th None.  Collect your prizes from Fran

 

Graduate Rehearsal Schedule:   Tuesday 4th & 5th periods; meet at Academy office.  Wednesday go to 1st period for attendance/lunch, and then walk to Multi for all-day rehearsal.  Thursday go to 1st period for attendance/lunch, and then walk to Multi for more rehearsal. 

 

4-6 Business Day:  Parents will be running Tuesday’s last Business Day.  Businesses will be open from 1:30-2:45 on the 4-6 playground.  Only students who have completed all of their 3rd trimester work, have money to spend, and have no fines will be able to shop!

 

Washington DC Field Trip:  The Washington DC trip for current 6th & 7th graders will be April 13-17, 2009.  If you are interested, come by Ms. Robertson’s room 100 and pick up information packet.  We only go every other year. 

 

 

***TO STAFF ***

 

Classified Staff:  CSEA meetings will be held today @ 7:30am in the library conference room and this afternoon @ 3:15, location to be announced.

 

MULTI:  MULTI IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR USE ALL THIS WEEK DUE TO GRADUATION ACTIVITIES.

 

ROOM 8:  ROOM 8 IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR USE TUESDAY DUE TO POLLING PLACE.

 

ESL Classes:  ESL classes for adults will be held this summer from June 9th-July 2nd on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in room 9.  See Senor Wheatley for details.  Gracias!!

 

Detentions:   THERE ARE NO DETENTIONS HELD THIS WEEK.

 

Donated Computer Equipment:  Donated computer equipment in room 8 is available for all staff to give to families of our students, including graduating 8th graders.  After June 6th the equipment will be taken to recyclers. 

 

 

Visitor/Parent Volunteer badges:  All parent volunteers or visitors must check in at either office for badges.

 

Student Safety:  There is a “Zero Tolerance” policy for any teasing, bullying or harassing.  If anyone feels unsafe, we want to know about it through the school phone 887-2279 ext 123, or the Suggestion Box.  There are Bullying & Teasing Cards next to the Suggestion Box in the foyer of Main Office.  There are Requests to see the Vice-Principal Cards in the Academy Office.

Friends of Forestville School Education Foundation (FOFSEF) News

 

 

Thank you: 

 

FOFSEF is going to be working on a strategic plan for an Arts Education program.  We intend to use this plan to apply for large grants.  Please remember that your donations are what give your children the “extras” at Forestville School/Academy at this time.  Please support FOFSEF. 

 

We’ll be contacting you this summer for pledges to keep the music, art, sports and other programs going past January.  We will also be kicking off the first day of school with a Coffee Social.  Please come and join us at 8:30 in the Multi the first day of the 2008 school year – 8/18/08.

 

Cell Phone Collection:  Please keep all your old cell phones and turn them in when school starts in the fall to the Forestville School and Academy Offices.  We can get up to $50 for each phone!  Thank you!!  The cell phones need to be in working condition.
